Building

Opening the builder

The builder is where you write training. Everything an athlete sees in the app comes out of it: programs, sessions, and exercises. It runs in two places, and they're the same tool:

  • In your browser inside your Gridlines dashboard — there's no download, and it works anywhere you're signed in.
  • As a native desktop app, if you prefer an installed app for long building sessions.

You're already signed in. The builder uses the same account as this site, so it opens without a second login.

The builder with a program open: a left sidebar, a toolbar, and a grid of week rows and day columns full of session cards
The builder open inside the web dashboard.

What lives where

The builder and the web dashboard divide the work:

  • The builder owns the training: writing and editing programs, the exercise library, and working with your athletes' sessions.
  • The web dashboard (your account) owns the business: publishing and pricing programs, rosters and invites, billing, and payouts.

The two hand off to each other constantly. You write a program in the builder. Then you publish and price it from the dashboard.
