Messaging athletes
Messages is the one-to-one channel between you and an athlete. Use it for form checks, schedule changes, and the "how did today feel" follow-up. It lives under /COACH. There are two ways into it:
- The Messages view — the full surface: the thread list on the left, the conversation on the right, with search and a scope filter over your threads.
- The quick-reply rail in the right dock — answer a message without leaving the program you're editing. The rail is in the desktop builder only. Reply from the rail. Jump to the full view when the conversation needs more room.
Starting a conversation
- New message
In the Messages view, click New message.
- Find the athlete
Search your athletes by name. Select one.
- Write the first message
Send the message. The thread now exists. Delivery is realtime, and the athlete sees the message in their app immediately.

Managing threads
- Search and scope — the thread list filters by text and scope. This matters once you carry dozens of conversations.
- Hide conversation — removes a finished thread from the list.
What messaging is, and isn't
Know these boundaries before you promise an athlete something the tool doesn't do:
- One-to-one only. There's no group chat. When the whole team needs to hear it, post it in the team's community space. Pin it if it's important.
- Sent is sent. You can't edit or unsend a message. Read sensitive messages twice before you send them.
